A 15-year-old motorist from Victoria was taken to Hays Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after a one-vehicle crash in Ellis County.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports Vance L. Hockersmith complained of pain and was taken to the hospital for possible injury after the 2006 Chevy S 10 pickup he was driving went off 370th Road, one mile west of Walker, at 3:30 p.m. After the driver lost control of the pickup it rolled onto the driver’s side, coming to rest in the ditch.

The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time.
