Eugene Black, 40, of Great Bend, was pulled over for a traffic stop around 1 a.m. Saturday and was arrested on outstanding warrants and new drug charges.
The Great Bend Police Department reports a GBPD office initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Lincoln Street for a traffic violation. During the stop, the officer identified Black, who had two outstanding felony probation violation warrants through Barton County District Court from previous drug violations.
Black was also in possession of a backpack. According to reports, inside the backpack were approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, plastic baggies, marijuana, numerous prescription pills, a handgun, over $400 in cash and items of drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked in lieu of no bond.
