Two injured at U.S. 281/U.S. 50 South of St. John

An injury accident occurred at 5:41 p.m. Friday in Stafford County, when a semitrailer pulled out in front of a Chevy HHR at U.S. 281 and U.S. 50, 3 miles south of St. John.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports a Freightliner driven by Bashir Nur Diriqsey, 36, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, was southbound on U.S. 281 and failed to yield. As it pulled into the intersection the Chevy crossover vehicle, driven by Dodge City resident Pamela M. Fann, 49, struck the trailer. Fann and passenger Robin Ann Smith, 64, of Wichita, were taken to the Stafford County Hospital with undetermined injuries. All were wearing seat belts.
