Does your co-workers creaky chair make it hard to focus? How about the constant whir of the copy machine and low-key office chatter?
One new study from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which is still ongoing, may suggest that listening to nature specifically water sounds may help increase productivity, Olga Khazan reported for The Atlantic.
The test subjects who listened to water sounds, rather than white noise or just office sounds, were able to regain focus on their tasks more quickly, Khazan reported. However, there was no change in cognitive performance among the different listeners.
So, if you find yourself unable to focus for whatever reason, try listening to this eight-hour water and nature soundtrack.
