While Santa's been busy with his naughty and nice list, the Deseret News has been doing a little compiling, too, scouring store shelves, searching online and catching a few well-placed product pitches to create a holiday gift guide that has something for just about everybody, in a bunch of different price ranges. It's a list with heart including some interesting ways to be philanthropic while you give. Merry Christmas!

For the family

The Artiphon ($399) is last year's most-funded Kickstarter musical instrument, according to a news release. It's a combo of guitar, violin, piano, drum and more. Plug it into your iPhone, iPad or laptop to use with popular music-making apps.
