The award-winning a cappella group Pentatonix released a new Christmas video on YouTube on Wednesday. Its stunning version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is the second video from the group's new album, A Pentatonix Christmas that was released in October. Their version of Hallelujah, has over 56 million views on YouTube and was the first song from the album to be featured on YouTube.
In the new video, the five members create a chilling arrangement of a classic Christmas carol. It especially showcases the range and talents of their bass Avi Kaplan and vocal percussionist Kevin Olusola.
Pentatonix gained popularity after winning NBC's "Sing-off" in 2011. According to its website, the group has now won multiple Grammy awards and has sold more than 2.8 million albums in the United States. Its YouTube channel has over 11 million subscribers and 1.8 billion views.
