The U.S. Postal Service can help you prove Santa Claus is real with replies to your childs letter complete with a North Pole postmark.

The Postal Service recently unveiled its instructions for how children can write letters to Santa Claus and receive a response.

Heres are the Postal Service's steps:

Later, when alone, open the envelope and write a personalized response.

Insert the response letter into an envelope and address it to the child.

Add the return address: SANTA, NORTH POLE, to the envelope.

Affix a first-class mail stamp to the envelope.

Place the complete envelope into a larger envelope with appropriate postage and address it to:

USPS also hopes people will tweet about their letters with the hashtag #LettersFromSanta.

This is a great activity to do at Thanksgiving that the whole family can enjoy, including parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other caregivers, according to USPS.

Parents who want to take a different approach can use The Original Letter From Santa, which offers personalized letters from Saint Nick.

The letters are printed on custom stationery. They come with a jumbo sticker and a full-color photo of Santa.

Parents can also collect some free letters for Santa at The Balance, which offers printable letters and personal tips for how to style your letter from Santa.
