Is it acceptable to nurse your baby in public? - photo by Melinda Fox

Studies have taught us that breastfeeding babies yields remarkable advantages. Nursing prevents many health issues, increases babies' cognitive functions and promotes emotional bonding between mother and child.

In spite of all the benefits and the pressure society places on women to take advantage of them, there is also a social stigma against public breastfeeding. Women are consistently shamed for feeding their babies in public, even when they are not exposing their chests.

Caryn Canatella was one woman who was tired of being shunned into smelly bathrooms every time her daughter was hungry. In response to the negativity, Caryn decided to make this video to teach women the appropriate places to breastfeed (spoiler alert: it's everywhere).
