Aaron Lee Blazek 1973-2017

HOISINGTON — Aaron Lee Blazek, 44, died Oct. 15, 2017 at Hays Medical Center, Hays. Born March 15, 1973, he was the son of Edward and Rhonda (Smith) Blazek.
Aaron married Robin Monroe March 21, 1991 at Great Bend. They were later divorced. Growing up in Hoisington, Aaron raised his family in Hillsboro, living there from 1993 to 2014. Aaron was a machinist for Wear Technology, Hillsboro, worked for Casey’s General Store, Hoisington, and most recently worked for ATP, McPherson. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Parkview Mennonite Church, and was integral in the kids’ wrestling program, all of Hillsboro. Aaron enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, pool, golf, Kansas City Royals baseball, Kansas City Chiefs football, and was an active competitive wrestler during his school years. Aaron served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Survivors include his mother, Rhonda Lou Blazek, Hoisington; one son, Brady Blazek, Hillsboro; one daughter, Ali Jo Blazek, McPherson; one brother, Eric Blazek (Kristy), Hoisington; one sister, Chrystie Blazek, Salina; one Grandson, Styles Lee Blazek; paternal grandparent, Frank Blazek, Humansville, Mo.; companion: Amanda Rose and her children, Hoisington; ex-wife, Robin Blazek, Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his father Ed Blazek, an infant brother, Paul Lee Blazek, paternal grandmother, Ruth Carlson, and maternal grandparents, Chet and Louise Smith
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with Rev. Dick Ogle. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. to service time, Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Aaron Blazek Expense Fund, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
