BAYFIELD, Colo. — Aiden Allen Riddle passed away Dec. 23, 2011 at the age of 2. Aiden died at The Children’s Hospital in Parker, Colo.
Aiden was born August 5, 2009, to Jaclynn Shaw and Ryan Riddle in Durango, Colo. Aiden’s playful and energetic spirit, curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes will always be remembered.
Aiden loved playing soccer in the kitchen, shooting a basketball, “making,” fingerpainting with yogurt, watching “dd’s,” (DVDs) riding in his “waggy,” playing with his cars and trucks, brushing his teeth, eating his dad’s macaroni and cheese, playing at the swimming pool, dancing to “moothic,” and loved his momma “Jaackie” and daddy.
Aiden is survived by his mother and father; maternal grandparents John and Carla Shaw, Bayfield, Colo.; paternal grandparents Rusty and Terri Riddle, Fort Smith, Ark.; aunts Ashley Shaw, Lenexa; Lindsey and Candace Shaw, Bayfield, Colo.; and uncle Keegan Riddle, Parker, Colo.; paternal great-grandparents Jerry and Nornell Watson, Elgin, Okla.; and maternal great-grandparents Everett and Marge Hitschmann, rural Hoisington; and Darlene Shaw, Claflin.
Aiden is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather Russell Shaw; maternal great-great-aunt Sister Urban Hitschmann; his great-grandparents Anne and Cecil Riddle, and many other family and friends.
Aiden’s services will be officiated by Rev. James Koenigsfeld at St. Columba Catholic Church in Durango, Colo. at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27. Burial will follow the ceremony at the Bayfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Aiden and his love of sports, please bring a ball or toy to be donated to those in need.
