Albert George (A.G.) Crane 1931 - 2014

LARNED — Albert George ( A.G.) Crane, 82, passed away Feb. 2, at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born Oct. 8, 1931, in Larned, he was the son of Edgar H. and Agnes Stockwell Crane. On May 27, 1949, he married Gloria Umberger in Syracuse. She survives. A lifetime area resident of Larned, he was a farmer.
Mr. Crane was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend.
Other survivors include, two sons, Alan Crane and wife Rosalind, of Larned, and E. David Crane and wife Janet, of Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Kathie Crane of Larned; six grandchildren, Zachary (LaTasha) Crane, Rachel Crane and husband (Edward Howard), Shawn (Karen) Crane, Jessica (Josh)Conner, Clay (Becky) Crane, Natalie (Dane) Murray and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Chris Crane; and a brother, David Crane.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel in Larned, with Pastor Doyle Smith presiding. Burial will be at the Point View Cemetery in Radium following the service. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
