HILL CITY — Alberta May Edwards, 91, died Dec. 9 at Dawson Place Nursing Home. She was born July 23, 1919, at Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Charles E. and Wilma (Barnett) Bratton. She married Cleophas John Edwards March 28, 1947. A longtime Hill City resident, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth E. Davis, Chula Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Sharlene J. Smith and Hazel A. Edwards, both of Great Bend; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Paul E. Davis, Lyman J. Edwards and Ronnie L. Edwards; brothers Milton Bratton and Alvin Bratton; and a sister, Rosetta Roach.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall in Hill City, with Merlyn Stinemetz, reader. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bogue. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations are suggested to Kingdom Hall, Hill City, in care of Stinemetz Funeral Home.
