GREAT BEND — Albertine Josephine Foos, 93, passed away June 11, 2020, at Mennonite Friendship Manor, South Hutchinson. Albertine was born July 31, 1926, at Victoria, to Alfonse and Claire (Graf) Schmidtberger. Albertine married Clarence Foos January 29, 1955, in Victoria.  He died October 8, 1997.

Coming from McPherson in 1959, Albertine was a Great Bend resident for most of her life. Albertine was self-employed sales lady for Avon and was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She enjoyed bingo and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include, two sons, Curtis Foos and wife Kay Tally Foos of Kerrville, Texas, and Craig Foos and wife Valerie of Lawrence; two daughters, Cynthia Klotz and husband Don, and Carla Schmidt and husband Wayne, all of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; a brother, Marvin Schmidtberger and wife Nancy of Pratt; two sisters, Edna Ptacek of Minneapolis, and Rosie Leiker of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren, Jennifer McMinn, Jessica Burch, Claire Tally Foos, Kate Thomas (Josh), Fred Tally Foos, Joe Tally Foos, Alisha Smith and Joshua Schmidt; six great-grandchildren, Haylee McDaniel, Kameron McDaniel, Brantlee Burch, Dominic McKinsey, Donivon Hopewell and Draiden Hopewell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Foos; one daughter, Cathy Foos; two brothers, Mike Schmidtberger and Bob Schmidtberger; and four sisters, Mary Schmidtberger, Hubertine Schultz, Minnie Roth, and Sister Vivian Schmidtberger. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Don presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2020, with a Vigil and Rosary at 7 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home.  Memorials may be given to Hutchinson Hospice of Reno County, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
