Alice Jane (Kachelman) Fox, 80, died Friday, Feb. 15, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Born March 7, 1932 at St. John, she was the daughter of John T. and Kathleen Birdie (Schroder) Kachelman. A resident of Great Bend since 1970, she was a Safety Deposit Manager at American State Bank in Great Bend for 20 years, Undersheriff for Stafford County, and a farmer.
On May 26, 1948 she married Earl Wayne Webster at Pratt, He preceded her in death. On Feb. 14, 1967, she married Russell Dean Fox at St. John. Alice was a member of the Antrim United Methodist Church and Great Bend First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Jane (Webster) Miller and Tony Miller, St. John; her son, Alan Wayne Webster and wife Judi, Hutchinson; four step-children, Rodney, Randy, Jenny and Mary; two sisters, Helen Milburn, Winter Park, Fla, Sierra Postier, Pratt; grandchildren, Allison Kilman and husband Rob, Blain Webster and wife Ashley, Laina Webster; great-grandchildren, Aidyn and Kinley Kilman; honorary family, Jim and Anita Blackwell and sons, Kagan Jay, Tanner and Chandler, Hoisington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Dean Fox and a grandson, Jason “Jay” Alan Hensley.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with Rodney Lyons presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Jay Hensley Endowment for Marine Studies at UNCW in care of Minnis Chapel, , P.O.
