Allan L. Radke 1938 - 2018

PINEDALE, Wyo. — Allan L. Radke found peace in Heaven when he died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at the home of his son, in Oakley, Utah. Allan was born in Hoisington, Kan. on Feb. 12, 1938. His parents were Paul B. and Clara (Brack) Radke. They preceded him in death as did his brothers, Paul, Norman, John and William.

Allan is survived by three sons and two daughters, Derrick (Wendy) of Oakley, Utah; Robert (Wendy) of Park City, Utah; Glenn (Lisa) of Daniel, Wyo.; Ruthanne Neville (Jason) of Casper, Wyo.; and Sarah Radke and her husband Patric of New Zealand; four grandchildren, Michael (Alicia), son of Derrick and Wendy of Charleston, Utah, Kelsie, daughter of Derrick and Wendy,  Zoe, daughter of Ruthanne and Jason, Sam, son of Ruthanne and Jason; and one great-grandson Rhett, son of Michael and Alisha.

Allan graduated from Hoisington High School in 1956, and from Kansas University in 1963, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Allan worked most of his career as an engineer for two different oil companies, making a home for his family in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Wyoming, Alaska, then back to Wyoming. 

After retiring, Allan made his home in Pinedale, Wyo., where he developed his “end of the road” home and lived out his days for over 20 years. Allan was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt elk when he was younger, then found great enjoyment hunting grouse with his faithful companion and friend of 13 years, BooToo. 

Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 512 N Tyler Ave, Pinedale, WY 82941, with Pastor Kevin S. Rose officiating. Friends and family are welcome.
