TULSA, OKla. — Alma Beth (Fox) Fleske was born March 5, 1921 to Henry & Mary (Eller) Fox in Springer, N.M. She passed from this life at the age of 90 on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 in Tulsa, Okla., where she moved in 2007 with her husband, Edward August Fleske, to be closer to her family.
Alma Beth graduated from Larned High School. She married Edward August 10, 1941 and worked with her husband on their farm north of Garfield for nearly 60 years. She was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and was their organist for many years.
Alma Beth and Edward enjoyed traveling and they took many trips that included Germany, Australia, New Zealand and most of the United States.
She is survived by her four children, Mary Ann Meckfessel and her husband, Charles, Tulsa, Okla.; John Fleske and his wife, Janice, Pittsburg; Louis Fleske and his wife, Jo Anne, Colorado Springs, Colo.; David Fleske and his wife, Gwen, Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brother Leonard and sister-in-law Mary Fleske and sister-in-law Betty Fleske.
Alma Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 70 years; and her brothers Marvin and Robert Fox and sister, Sally Frey.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2550 E. 71st Street, Tulsa, Okla. Graveside services are scheduled March 10 in Larned.
