LARNED — Andra Kay Alderson-Bird, 74, passed away July 10, 2017, at Larned. 
She was born Oct. 14, 1942, at Wichita, the daughter of Albert and Edna (Baxter) Cooper. She married Paul Alderson June 18, 1960, at Aurora, Colo. She married Gary Bird March 16, 1999, at McPherson. He passed away March 6, 2017. She was a Registered Nurse, practicing nursing for 30 years and was an instructor of nursing at Barton Community College for five years.
She was a member of The Father’s House Church, Larned.
Survivors include Miechele Riedel and husband Mark, North Carolina, and Trasa Maguire, Larned; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews. 
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Chris Alderson; and a sister, Linda Satterlee.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at Bryant Funeral Home with Mike Pfortmiller officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Delphos Cemetery, Delphos. 
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 14, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with The Father’s House or BCC Foundation to benefit Adult Health Care Classes, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
