GREAT BEND — Andrew J. Crawford, Sr., 84, died Sept. 3, 2013 at the Ellsworth County Medical Center.He was born Nov. 5, 1928 at Nuyaka, Okla., the son of Andy William and Dorothy Mary (Slankard) Crawford.He married Melva Thomas July 24, 1947 at Okemah, Okla. He worked for Sunflower Dairy, Western Music and Vending, and Coca-Cola Bottling, and owned APCO, Vickers, and the Alcove Supper Club. Mr. Crawford was a Great Bend resident since 1950, coming from Fairfax, Okla.
