Andrew Sherman, 38, passed away July 11, 2021 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He was taken from us to soon in life. Andrew was born Nov. 7, 1982 in Great Bend, Kan. to Don and Maxine (Kuntz) Sherman. Andrew was a Great Bend High School graduate and continued his education at DeVry University in Kansas City, Mo.
Andrew’s passion was playing in or working on the water, which led him to San Diego, Calif. to do both. After a few years in California his passion for the water led him to Destin, Fla. Andrew worked very hard on the water doing what he loved. He was rewarded by earning his boat captains license. With a smile on his face as wide as the ocean, everyone he met was a friend and usually became friends for life. Andrew’s other passion was his Kansas City Chiefs football team, in which he cheered them on through their good and bad times.
Survivors include his parents Don and Maxine (Kuntz) Sherman,; sister Audrey Sherman Crumbliss and husband Conner Crumbliss; one nephew Charlie; one niece Lilly; and two lovable pups Mickey and Buddy.
After cremation a private family graveside service will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up in his honor at the Great Bend Humane Society Great Bend. Please send memorials in care of Don Sherman, 2220 Harrison, Great Bend Kansas 67530.
