MACKSVILLE — Anita L. (Frownfelter) Myers, age 80, passed away Sept. 23, 2018, at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center, Pratt.
She was born on March 4, 1938 at Garden City, Kan., the daughter of Truman O. and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Frownfelter. A former resident of Macksville, she was a retired EMS director for Stafford County, Kan. She received an Associate’s Degree from Barton County Junior College.
Her memberships include the Kansas EMS Association, Region III EMS, Editor of the Kansas EMS Chronical Newspaper. She loved to play the piano and organ for the Free Methodist Church, Macksville. On May 14, 1955 she married P.R. “Bud” Myers at Dighton, Kan., he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Keith D. Myers, Nixa, Mo., Kenneth L. Myers, Larned, Kan.; four daughters, Rebecca S. Dreese, Pratt, Kan., Vallerie J. Smith, Narvon, Pa., Deborah Lewis, Larned, Kan., Sandra K. Cales, Powell, Tenn.; a brother, Mickey Frownfelter, Oregon City, Ore.; three sisters, Ruth Ellsworth, Olathe, Kan., Norma Riebel, Buffalo, Mo., Jackie Wilson, Federal Heights, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, James Frownfelter; and a sister, Joy Frownfelter.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at the Minnis Chapel, St. John with Daniel Smith presiding. Private inurnment will follow at the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville, Kan. Memorials may be given to the Macksville EMS in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS. 67576.
