Ann Marie Mantz, 79, died Feb. 9, 2016 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born Dec. 8, 1936, at Hoisington, the daughter of Bernard and Anna Victoria (Budig) Riedel. She married Carl Mantz Jan. 19, 1954, at Olmitz.  He died Feb. 21, 1990. She worked in the laundry at Central Kansas Medical Center and retired from the Dominican Sisters Motherhouse.
Mrs. Mantz was a Great Bend resident since 1992, coming from Olmitz.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Neely and her husband Steve of Kins-ley, Kathy Ochs and her husband Darrell of Great Bend, and Debbie Besperat and her husband Charles of Branson, Mo; one sister, Janet Thompson of Independence, Mo.; two brothers, John Riedel of Olmitz and Melvin Riedel of Anthony; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
According to her wishes, Mrs. Mantz was cremated and a private family service will be at a later date. Memorials are requested to the Woodhaven Activity Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
