ODIN – Anna B. Dreiling, 94, died Oct. 29, 2014 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 25, 1920 at Great Bend, the daughter of Alois and Barbara (Probst) Birzer.
She married Rudolph D. Dreiling Jan. 18, 1945 at Odin. He died Jan. 12, 1997. A lifetime Odin resident, Mrs. Dreiling was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Altar Society, church choir, and all of Odin and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Claflin and Daughters of Isabella
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth L. Dreiling and his wife Juanita, Great Bend; Ronald J. Dreiling and wife Carol, Basehor; Dennis W. Dreiling and his wife Jane, Claflin; seven daughters, Ann M. Ellis, Rozel; Judith M. Jenisch and her husband Jerry, Great Bend; Linda K. Regnier and her husband Chuck, Belton, Mo.; Constance M. French and her husband Pat, La Porte, Ind.; Sharon J. Armbrister and her husband Clarence, Wichita; Shirley M. Sander and her husband Keith, Turpin, Okla.; and Cindy A. Strube and her husband Kevin, Hays; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Dreiling, Hoisington; 34 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary R. Dreiling, seven brothers, Father Wenzel L. Birzer, Louie Birzer, John L. Birzer, Nick Birzer, Joe Birzer, Frank Birzer, Tom Birzer, two sisters, Margaret Heckele and Mathilda Prosser, and a grandson, Kevin Jenisch, and a son-in-law Larry Ellis.
Vigil Service with Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Odin with Father Don Bedore, celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Odin. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington.
