ODIN — Anna M. Boor, 98, died July 22 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 4, 1913 in Odin, she was the daughter of Joseph V. and Frances M. (Tinkel) Jenisch. On April 23, 1941 she married Nick F. Boor in Odin. He died on June 25, 1998. A lifetime resident of Odin, she was a retired homemaker and farmer.
Mrs. Boor was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Altar Society, in Odin and former member of HDU.
Survivors include one son, Bernard Boor and wife Carole of Claflin; three daughters, Mary Ann Hipp and husband Larry of Great Bend, Jerri Reichenberger and husband John of Wichita, and Leona Myles and husband Gary, Allentown, Pa.; one sister, Mary Wondra of Odin; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Albert, Joseph, Arthur and Frank Jenisch; five sisters, Gertrude Gerritzen, Olivia Debes, Frances Zorn, Hilda Ille and Eleanor Ille; and a great-grandson, Jordan Boor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Odin with Celebrant Father Pascal Klein. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery. A Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday followed by an Altar Society Rosary at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Holy Family Cemetery Fund or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.
