Annalee Luebbers 1933 - 2013

ELLINWOOD — Annalee Luebbers, 79, died Feb. 2 at the Good Samaritan Center in Lyons. Born Dec. 8, 1933 in Ellinwood, she was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Schwamborn Kowalsky. In 1952 she graduated from Ellinwood High School. On May 4, 1952 she married Norbert Luebbers in Ellinwood. He died on March 24, 2012. A lifetime resident of Ellinwood, she was a cook for Ellinwood Grade School and a homemaker.
Mrs. Luebbers was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Altar Society in Ellinwood.
Survivors include two sons, Vince Luebbers of Wichita and Paul Luebbers of Ellinwood; two daughters, Christine “Tina” Caldwell and Gretchen Deighton, both of Ellinwood; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman Kowalsky, Jacob Kowalsky and Maurice Kowalsky; and a sister, Madaline Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Charles Mazouch officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to the Annalee Luebbers Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
