April Mae Hart, 38, died Feb. 13 at her home in Great Bend. Born Sept. 5, 1974, in Lawton, Okla., she was the daughter of Gary and Coleen (Skeen) Hayes. A resident of Great Bend since 2005, coming from Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri, she had previously been a waitress and C.N.A.
Ms. Hart was a member of Harvest Rains in Great Bend.
Survivors include her mother, Coleen Hayes of Great Bend; her father, Gary Hayes of Auburn, Calif.; two sons, Dylan Karst of El Dorado and Zachary Hayes of the home; a daughter, Porsha Karst of Wichita; and two brothers, Ted Hayes of Palmdale, Calif., and Glen A. Rogers of Rockport, Mo. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Paul Hayes.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Conner officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
