Arlene Frances Wilhelm, 85, passed away on March 4, 2023, at Credo Senior Living in Hoisington, Kan. She was born on April 8, 1937, the daughter of Herbert and Mollie (Boxberger) Muth.

Arlene was confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hoisington, with her confirmation bible verse being John 3:16. She graduated from Hoisington High School in 1955. On June 6, 1954, Arlene married LeRoy Wilhelm in Hoisington at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, having been married over 68 years. She was a homemaker and worked for 25 years for Holste and Bowers, CPA. Arlene was a church organist for over 40 years at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and choir director in Hoisington before moving to Great Bend and joined Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, LaVentrice Wilhelm of Surprise, Ariz., and LaVeneia Smith and husband, Kyle, of Claflin, Kan.; a grandson, Preston Smith, of Clafin, Kan.; sister, Marilyn Rice and husband, Jerry, of Greenwood, Ark.; and a brother, Alvin Muth and wife, Vera, of Great Bend, Kan.

Memorial Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Nancy Mitchell presiding. The family will be receiving guests prior to the service from 2 - 3 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been designated to the Claflin Ambulance Service, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
