Fourth positive case of COVID-19 identified in Barton County
A fourth positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) has been reported in Barton County, county Public Information Officer Donna Zimmerman said Wednesday afternoon. The case is in the rural northeast part of the county.

GREAT BEND - Ashley Freedom Vanaman, 19, passed away March 24, 2020, in Great Bend. She was born on December 27, 2000, to Ernest & Heather (Harris) Vanaman. 

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Ashley worked for production packing treats at Redbarn.  

Survivors include, her mother, Heather Vanaman; two brothers, Ryan Wayne Vanaman of Lamont, Okla., and Mark Edwin Gray of Great Bend; her grandmother, Deborah Harris; her grandfather, David McMullen; and a great great great aunt, Eloise Dolezal of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her father. 

Private Family Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Eden Valley Cemetery, with Reverend Dick Ogle presiding. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
