SPRINGFIELD, ORE. - B. Jean (Gallon) Vollmer, 82, died Jan. 27, 2012. Born Oct. 23, 1929 in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Elmer and Edna (Almquist) Gallon. In 1947 she graduated from Great Bend High School. She was employed as a sales associate at Sears. She was a resident of the Lane County area in Oregon for 43 years.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher of Escondido, Calif., and Michael of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Judith Russell of Crestline, Calif., and Cheryl Graham of Springfield, Ore.; a sister, JoAnn Hiss of Great Bend; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials services will be held at 1 p.m. on March 9 at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eugene, Ore. Memorials are suggested to the Jean Vollmer Tribute Fund: Alzheimer’s Association at http://act.alz.org/goto/jean.Vollmer.
