CHANDLER, ARIZ. — Babette “Babs” Kinderknecht, age 61, passed away Feb. 10, 2017 surrounded by family in her home in Chandler, Ariz., after a long battle with diabetes and renal failure. She has embarked on her last travel to Heaven surrounded with Angels, to be with her Heavenly Father. Babette retired from American Airlines and worked in different capacities for the company.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years and high school sweetheart, Dan Kinderknecht of Chandler, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Ryan McClenahan of Mesa, Ariz,; and a son John Kinderknecht of QueenCreek, Ariz.; her father and stepmother, Fred and Jean Berger of Great Bend; brothers, Brent Berger of Cathedral City, Calif. and Brad “Al” Berger of Aptos, Calif.; mother-in-law, Anna Rita Weber of Hays; in-laws, Carol and Mark Schryer and Floyd and Loretta Kinderknecht of Ellis, Anita and Larry Dreiling of Hays and Brian and Silvia Kinderknecht of Wichita; and numerous relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Berger and her father-in-law, Richard Kinderknecht.
A memorial service, in Babette’s honor, will be held this spring in Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Kidney Foundation.
