Barbara Jean Braddy 1945-2017

SEWARD — Barbara Jean Braddy, age 71, passed away on March 31, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 30, 1945 at Larned, the daughter of Charles M. and Helen W. (Robbins) Baier, Sr. A life-long resident of the Seward area, she was a retired secretary for Fort Larned Federal Parks Service. Her memberships include, Xavier Catholic Church, Altar Society, Seward City Council and Xavier Cemetery Board. Survivors include two sons, Nickolas Braddy, Seattle, Wash., Aaron Braddy (Devon), Hoisington; two brothers, Mick Baier, Jr., Lecompton, William Henry Baier, Bayfield, Colo.; a sister, Sharon Hays (Lonnie), Wellington; two grandchildren, Melody and Willow Braddy.
Memorial Mass service will be at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Xavier Catholic Church, Seward, with Father Ted Stoecklein presiding. Inurnment will follow in the Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Seward. No visitation or Rosary. Memorials may be given to the Xavier Cemetery Improvement Fund in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
