MANHATTAN — Bernard R. “Bernie” Kaiser, 75, died Oct. 16, 2013 at Colmery O’Neal VA Medical Center in Topeka.
Born Dec. 5, 1937 in Grainfield, he was the son of Carl and Anna (Zerr) Kaiser. He married Debra Ann Desbien. She died on July 23, 1990. A former resident of Hill City, he was an auctioneer.
Mr. Kaiser was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include a son, Darin Kaiser, Manhattan; a daughter, Darcy Kaiser, Hays; two brothers, Leo and Helen Kaiser, Hutchinson; and John Kaiser, Grainfield; two sisters, Agnes and Phil Ziegler, Hutchinson; and Tina Leiker, Oakley; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife.
A Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hill city with Father Henry Saw Lone officiating. Burial will be at Wildhorse Township Cemetery in Bogue. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
