GREAT BEND — Betty Jean Olivier, 92, died March 20, 2017, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1924, at Harper, she was the daughter of Everett F. and Vada (Seaman) Campbell. On Nov. 18, 1944, she married Robert Olivier at Danville. A Great Bend resident since 1956, coming from Harper, she was a telephone operator and a clerk at Wiley’s and Komarek Jewelry. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was an avid reader, seamstress, gardener, and fantastic cook. She loved decorating her home for holidays.
Mrs. Olivier was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Olivier, of the home; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Olivier and his wife Lora, Gardner; and Jeff Olivier and his wife Alice, Seward; a daughter, Leslie Roberts and her husband Dennis, Harper; 10 grandchildren, Melinda Maendele, Marcy Leu, Chris Olivier, Evan Olivier, Alex Olivier, Emma Olivier, Gabe Olivier, Angie Kramer, Ashley Gorney and Trenton Olivier; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee Campbell, and one sister, Leona Harris.
Altar Society Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. and Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore celebrating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Cemetery in Danville. Friends may call from 1-9 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home.
