WICHITA — Beulah Rose Stephens, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 29, 2023. Her daughter, Ginger and best friend was by her side. She was born Nov. 10, 1930, to Russell Nance and Rose (Hunt) Nance in Mannford, Okla.
Beulah was always involved with her churches. She taught Sunday School to young children for many years and found such joy with them. She was always cooking for any and all events for her churches, always in service to her Lord and Savior. Gardening was one of Beulah’s favorite enjoyments throughout her life. She managed and provided all accounting for her husband’s business, Sam’s Welding Service, in Great Bend, Kan. for over 40 years. Beulah was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother, whose greatest achievements were caring for her family and always ensuring their happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Rose Hunt; her husband, Sam Stephens; and her brothers, Russell Nance, Ronnie Nance and Buddy Lee Nance.
Beulah is survived by her daughter, Ginger Stephens; grandson, Brandon Stephens; brothers, Herb Nance, Jerry Dean Nance, John Nance and Marshall Nance; sisters, Dixie Nance, Joann Nance and Linda Nance; as well as many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life Service for Beulah will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beulah’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.
