Bill L. Westfall 1931 - 2013

Bill L. Westfall, 82, died Aug. 21 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born April 5, 1931, at Oilton, Okla., to Amos L. and Beulah Mae (Turner) Westfall. He married Lillie “Madge” Ferguson April 5, 1958, at Kinsley. A Great Bend resident since 1934, coming from Oklahoma, he owned and operated Westfall Electric from 1968 until his retirement.
Mr. Westfall was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.  
He was a member of Grace Community Church and of the Board of Construction, Trades, Examiners and Appeals for the City of Great Bend.  He enjoyed working on Ford Mustangs and pheasant hunting.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Eric Westfall and wife Wendy of Canon City, Colo., one daughter, Ellen Richmeier of Great Bend; two sisters: Pat Waggoner of Prescott, Ariz.,, and Linda Edwards of Divide, Colo.; one brother: Kermit Westfall of Chino Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Sarah Kaiser, Emily Kaiser, Allysa Braddy, Rachel Richmeier and Jessica Richmeier; and eight great-grandchilren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Westfall and James C. Westfall.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Grace Community Church in Great Bend, with Pator Jay Beuoy officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
