Bonnie Lou Arnold 1927 - 2021

Bonnie Lou Arnold, 94, passed away Dec. 23, 2021, at Medicalodges of Great Bend. She was born on July 7, 1927, at Kansas City, Kan., to Henry A. “Pete” and Inez I. (Stanley) Brown. She married Kenneth W. “Bud” Arnold on Feb. 16, 1946, in McPherson. He died June 30, 2005.

A long time Great Bend resident, Bonnie owned and operated R&R Janitor Service along with “Bud”. She was a devoted member of Encounter Church (First Assembly of God) in Great Bend. She enjoyed puzzles, Bingo and Yahoo. Bonnie especially loved spending time with her family and church family.  

Survivors include: two sons, Stephen Arnold and wife Debra of Great Bend and Kenneth Arnold and wife Sharon of Georgetown, Texas; seven grandchildren, Brian and Jennifer Arnold of Wichita, Jeremy and Jennifer Arnold of Derby, Kerry Arnold of Georgetown, Texas, Laura and Joseph Harrington, Stephanie Galusha, Amy Arnold and Stephen “Michael” Arnold, all of Great Bend; 13 great-grandchildren, Rebekah Arnold, Emily Arnold, Alex Arnold, Joel Arnold, Abygail Arnold, Ella Arnold, Kensli Arnold, Adison Galusha, Adyn Haines, Madelyn Harrington, Ethan Harrington, Corah Barnett and Brennan Moore; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth “Bud” Arnold; an infant son, Terry Wayne Arnold; three brothers, Henry “Allen” Brown, Gail Brown and Stanley Brown; two sisters, Shirley Hardesty and Beverly Davis; two grandchildren, Joel Arnold and Sherrill Arnold; and two great grandchildren, Garin Arnold and Rozlyn Arnold. 

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Encounter Church in Great Bend, with Pastor Dwight Dozier presiding. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Memorials have been designated to Encounter Church or Kindred Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
