OLATHE — Brian Keith Steiner, 54, of Olathe, Kan., unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. 

Born in Great Bend, Brian was the beloved son of John Charles Steiner and the late JoAnn Marie Steiner. He took pride in earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Kansas State University. Over a remarkable 23-year career, Brian dedicated his talents to George Butler Associates, initially as an Architect and later excelling as an Associate Architect. He harbored a dream of dedicating his retirement to designing a home inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright for his family. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the guitar, as well as relished the serenity of Kansas, often embarking on long drives along its country roads. 

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Petra Sigrid Steiner; devoted father, John Steiner; and sister, Debra Steiner. He leaves behind five children and their spouses: Isaac Steiner, Nick Bullock and Baylie Moon, Laurin and Adam Browne, Ariane and David Hummel, Dawson Wright; along with two grandchildren, Natalalie Bullock, and Soren Browne. 

A heartfelt visitation to honor and reminisce about Brian’s life will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12th at St Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. The interment of ashes will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210, at 1 p.m. Brian’s memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
