Carma Jean Tinkel, 68, passed away peacefully May 18, 2021, at the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. She was born Nov. 13, 1952, to Emil and Alverta (Steinert) Juergensen. On Nov. 29, 1975, Carma was united in marriage to Darrell Tinkel in Great Bend.
As a lifetime resident of Great Bend, Carma was a clerical assistant for Thurman Morrison and Associates and CPI. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Carma was a bright smile and a true joy to be around! She enjoyed traveling, being with her siblings, stock car racing, making new friends and most of all spending time with her two grandsons, Korbin and Krew.
Survivors include, her husband, Darrell Tinkel of the home; a son, Randy Tinkel and wife Jillian of Wamego, Kan.; two grandchildren, Korbin and Krew; two brothers, Fred Juergensen and wife Darla of Gower, Mo., and Louis Juergensen and wife Karen of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Marilyn Keller of San Antonio, Texas, and Vera Bortolotti of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three sister-in-laws, Beverly Juergensen of Great Bend, Judy Rabenseifner of Great Bend and Sheryl Richardson of Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Juergensen and Lyle Juergensen; and two brother-in-laws, Marion Keller and Louie Bortolotti. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will take held at a later date.
