SHAWNEE — Carolyn L. Heinz, 72, of Shawnee, passed away July 15, 2014.
Born Feb. 6, 1942, in Hoisington, she was the daughter of Frank and Isabel Riedel. She graduated from Otis High School. On Aug. 5, 1961, she was united in marriage to Thomas L. Heinz. She retired from Coke Cola after 32 years. She enjoyed traveling to Grand Cayman Island along with other Caribbean Islands. Carolyn cherished her time with family and friends. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.  
Survivors include her daughter, Tonja Zeller (Tim); a son, Tom Heinz; grandchildren, Jeff Zeller (Amy), Tiffany Chennault (Bobby), Dalton Ficken; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Curtis Heinz; brothers Leonard, Charles, and Bobby Riedel; and sisters, Rose Marie Menafee and Joyce Bitter.     
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee. Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Claflin Cemetery.
