Carolyn M. Barr, 79, passed away Sunday January 31, 2021, at Country Place Memory Care, in Hoisington. She was born January 3, 1942, in Pratt, the daughter of Arthur and Merle (Hollopeter) Jones. She was united in marriage to Gary Barr May 30, 1979 in Hoisington.

Carolyn has been a resident of Hoisington since 1979, coming from LaCrosse. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend. She was a Sunday school teacher and worked with missionaries. She was a member of the Kansas Appaloosa Horse Association and 4-H. Carolyn enjoyed showing horses, sewing, baking, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include; her husband Gary of the home; children James Brehm and wife Deborah of Perry, Desda Brehm of South Carolina, Steven Barr and wife Debbie of Cimarron, David Barr and wife Patricia of Wichita, Kevin Barr and wife Susan of Minco, Oklahoma, Brad Barr of Hutchinson, Kimberly Schneweis and husband Eugene of Hoisington, and Pamela Douglas of Houston, Texas; sister, Margaret Hilt of Pratt; twenty-five grandchildren including; Michele Berends, Heather Helvie, Alesia Schneweis, Jameson, Jenna, and Brandi Brehm, Lezzus Rogers  and thirty-five great grandchildren including; Matthew, Isabelle, and Isaiah Mayers, Izaiah Flowers, Chole and Chance McCain. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, grandson, Jace Richardson, sister, Sharon Jones and brother-in-law, Ivan Hilt.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 6, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church in Hoisington with pastor Denny Lewis presiding.
