Charlene Marie Weigel 1932-2014

Charlene Marie Weigel, 81, died March 24 at her home in Great Bend. Born May 31, 1932 at Denver, Colo., she was the daughter of James and Grace (Riggen) Klee.
She married Willis Weigel April 30, 1951 at Hays.  He died August 2, 1993.  She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Weigel was a long-time Great Bend resident.  She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend. She enjoyed painting Ukrainian eggs and china, was a proud Head Start volunteer and enjoyed reading to children at Great Bend Public Library.
She was the loving mother of three children: Mark A. Weigel of Tampa, Fla.; Cynthia A. Stroth and her husband Michael H. of Sarasota, Fla., and Karen T. Rariden and her husband Michael H. of Kennesaw, Ga.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Klee and Jack Klee.
An Altar Society Rosary will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 27, at Bryant Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 28, at Great Bend Cemetery.  Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., Thursday, March 27, at Bryant Funeral Home.
