Christine O. “Chris” Keeler, 78, died Oct. 2, 2016, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born July 2, 1938, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Donovan and Mary (Risse) Neeland. On. Aug. 6, 1960, she married Charles Keeler in Great Bend. A lifetime resident of Great Bend she was a homemaker. She was an avid bridge player.
Mrs. Keeler was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Keeler, of the home; four daughters, Sherri Henry of Great Bend, Donna Calais and husband Gerald of Lake Charles, La., Lori Thompson and husband Bert of Great Bend, and Lisa Green and husband Kevin of Victoria; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, and Brady Peterson. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Neeland, Paul Neeland, and Michael Neeland; and by one sister, Zita Kreutzer Carlson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Ted Stoecklein officiating. Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Holy Family School Endowment in care of the funeral home.
