Clara Mae Lowrey 1924-2012

LARNED Clara Mae Lowrey, 88, left this world Dec. 22, 2012, at Larned Healthcare Center.
She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Irvin Earl and Mae Francis Shepke Middleton.  
A longtime resident of Larned she was a retired school teacher and Pawnee County appraiser. She belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, Larned, and was an avid Kansas State University Fan. On May 19, 1944, she married Ralph L. Lowrey at Manhattan.  He died Oct. 24, 1966.
Survivors include four sons, Fred Lowrey, Woodlands, Texas; Tim Lowrey, Edmond, Okla.; Leu Lowrey, Wamego; and Ralph Lowrey, Larned; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Middleton, Irvin Middleton Jr. and Karl Middleton.
Graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday at the Larned Cemetery with Pastor Margaret Gary presiding. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Morell Funeral Home, Larned.
