FREEPORT, Fla. — Clark Dale McEachern, 57, passed away Sept. 24, 2021, in Lake Charles, La. He was born on Dec. 27, 1963 at Benkelman, Neb. to Don and Kay (Smith) McEachern. He married LaNette Morlock in 1980 and they later divorced. He then married Joan Dekle in August 2009.
Clark had a passion for all things related to the water. He especially loved fishing and was the Captain of a supply boat. He also loved spending time with his dogs, hunting, and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include, his mother and stepfather, Kay and Gail Hulse of Great Bend; his wife, Joan McEachern of Freeport, Fla.; a son, Shawn McEachern of Moorehead, Mont.; his sister, Tonna Thomas and her significant other Chad Betts of Newton; a stepdaughter, Cami Dekle; and a half brother, Christopher McEachern. He was preceded in death by his father, Don McEachern.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Reverend Bill Salmans presiding. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Memorials have been designated to Chasing Tails Rescue or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
