Clydene Marie Jacobs, 61, of Great Bend, passed away September 7, 2018 at her home in Great Bend. She was born September 22, 1956 in Ellinwood, Kansas, the daughter of Wayne Joseph and Julia Adella Bever Werner. She graduated from Chase High School with the class of 1974.
Clydene has resided in Great Bend since 1990, formerly of Raymond, Kansas. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper for Barton County Treasurer’s Office, Central Kansas Medical Center, Clara Barton Medical Clinic and Sunflower Diversified. Clydene was a participant in Relay for Life. On June 19, 1993.
Clydene was united in marriage with Melvin Gene Jacobs Jr. in Great Bend. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her son, Marcus Snow of Hoisington, KS; daughter, Teddi Snow of Hoisington, KS; two step-sons, Tyson Jacobs of Broken Arrow, OK and Aaron Jacobs of Carrollton, TX; brother, Kevin Werner of Great Bend, KS; three sisters, Kathy Nielsen and husband Ted of Montgomery, AL, Karen Carlson of McPherson, KS, and Crystal Suppes and husband Dan of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Kirstie Horner, Zachary Perez, and Kayle Snow; five step-grandchildren, Taryn, Teagan, Jovie, Knox and Reverie Jacobs; and two great-grandchildren, Deaglan and Bradly Horner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Julia Werner; son, Steven Paul Snow; and brother, Curtis Werner.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Rev. Larry Schumacher officiating. Burial will be at Raymond Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
