Constance Connie Foelgner Lewis 1938 - 2014

Constance “Connie”  Foelgner Lewis, 75, passed away on May 29 at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Parker, Colo. She was born July 13, 1938 to Genevieve Sophie Woydziak and Russell Robert Foelgner. She is the oldest sibling and survived by Roberta Foelgner-Walker, Linda Riffel-Pearson, Mary Riffel-Komarek and David Riffel.
She graduated in 1956 from Medicine Lodge High School, before getting her degree in Education from Emporia State Teachers College. She was a social worker in Shawnee County before opening several small businesses.
She married Randall Reeves who preceded her in death. They had four children: twins, Russell and Richard, Spencer and Lacy Reeves Matthews. Richard preceded her in death. She has four grandchildren: Victoria and Tanner Reeves, Bodhi Reeves, Chase Matthews, and son-in-law, Derek Matthews, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie was a small business owner who liked to call herself “The Shop Keeper”. She was co-owner of “The Ad Lib shop” in Longmont, then opened “Possibilities” in Longmont. She opened “Sisters and Company” in Paxico, eventually relocating it to Elizabeth, Colo.
A memorial service is being held on Flag Day, June 14 at her church,Our Lady of Visitation in Kiowa, Colo. at 11 a.m. A private burial with the family is at St. Catherine’s cemetery in Dubuque on June 21.
