Cora M. Vonfeldt, 79, passed away Jan. 17, 2022, at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. She was born on April 7, 1942, at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Ralph and Leona (Sander) Vonfeldt.
A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Cora retired from Great Bend Packing. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Altar Society. Cora loved her family along with her church family, and she especially loved helping anyone when she could.
Survivors include, her children, Karlyn (Karl) Jantz of Pecos, Texas, Richard Buess, Rodney Buess and Kerrie Buess all of Great Bend; seven grandchildren, Derrick Buess of Great Bend, Kody Jantz of Pecos, Texas, Hope (Michael) Suppes of Great Bend, Destiny (Clark) Stickney of Manhattan, and Kory Jantz, Kalyn Jantz and Kasey Jantz all of Pecos, Texas; five great grandchildren, Jarex Brungardt, Alexa Brungardt and Dallas Buess all of Great Bend, and Jamielynn Jantz and Desiree Jantz of Pecos, Texas; two brothers, Wayne (Sharon) Vonfeldt of Duncan, Okla. and Jerry Vonfeldt of Newton; one sister, Mary Allen of Great Bend; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, LaVern Vonfeldt, Ralph Vonfeldt Jr., and Marlin Vonfeldt; an infant sister, Geraldine Vonfeldt and a grandson, Dustin Buess.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, with Altar Society rosary at 4 p.m. and Vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Prakash Kola presiding. Interment will be in Golden Belt Memorial Park in Great Bend. Memorials have been designated to the Prince of Peace Altar Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
