Creta Claudine Huddleston 1918 - 2012

LA CROSSE — Creta Claudine Huddleston, 93, died May 21 at Rush County Nursing Home in LaCrosse. Born Dec. 13, 1918, in rural Alexander, she was the daughter of Claude T. and Creta Marie Wright Huddleston. For almost 35 years her home was at the Rush County Nursing Home in LaCrosse, moving from Pawnee Rock.
Survivors include two brothers, Urban Huddleston of Larned and Alton Huddleston and wife LaVern of Alexander; one cousin, Loren Wright of Alexander; several nephews and nieces; and extended family members, employees of the Rush County Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by one sister, Floy Coddington and husband Cecil; one sister–in-law, Clara Huddleston; and two great-nephews, Brian and Matthew Johnston.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, at Morell Funeral Home in Larned with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 8 p.m. Wedneday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Rush County Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
