NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Darrell Kincaid of Northbrook, Ill., formerly of Ellinwood and Topeka, was on born October 10, 1928 in Winfield. He passed away April 12, 2019 at age 90 in Northbrook, Ill. 

His beloved wife, Jo Ann, preceded him in death. He was the loving father of Carolyn (Gordon) Berry, Nancy Riley, Peggy (Tony) Waldschmidt, Frank (Becky) Kincaid, Richard (Jackie) Kincaid and Chris (Meghan) Kincaid; proud grandfather of 17; great grandfather of six. 

Darrell graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1947 and attended Wichita State University until serving in the Korean War where he served with distinction and remained in the US Army Reserves until 1967.  After the war, he returned to Ellinwood, KS where he owned Kincaid Well Servicing until his retirement.  He enjoyed hunting and golf and was usually spotted smoking his pipe while wearing his signature hat. 

A memorial service will be held at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home in Glenview, IL on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of Darrell Kincaid at the Wounded Warrior Project, Inc.https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
