Daryl “Tippy” Ferguson, 52, died Aug. 22 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born April 4, 1961, at Great Bend, to Donald Gene and Opal Ann (McKnight) Ferguson. He married Sharon M. Thompson June 27, 1981, at Great Bend.  A lifetime Great Bend resident, he was a dispatcher for Horizon Express.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; mother Opal Ann Ferguson, of Great Bend; one son, Doug D. Ferguson and his wife Jennifer of Great Bend; two daughters, Kristy Ferguson and her companion Tyler Leech, and Misty Skinner and her husband Robbie, all of Great Bend; one sister, Diann Garcia of Great Bend; one brother, Darwin Ferguson and wife Amy of Great Bend; and eight grandchildren, Dayton Skinner, Dylan Ferguson, Daylan Sherwood, Dezmon Sherwood, Sierra Ferguson, Darian Sherwood, Dakota Skinner and Kourtnee Leech. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Donna Sue Ferguson; and one sister-in-law, Stacy M. Ferguson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Kurt Spivey officiating. Interment will  be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
