LARNED — David Schloctermeier, 52, passed away at his home in Larned, Ks. Born on Dec. 5th, 1965 he was the son of Don and Jeanne (Martin) Schloctermeier. A longtime Larned resident, formerly of Ellinwood, he grew up with a love of hunting and the outdoors. David graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1984. Later he worked as a sales representative for Jimmie Jones Welding Supply and as an oil field worker.
Survivors include, daughter, Rachel Pumford (Chase), Topeka, Ks.; parents, Don and Jeanne Schloctermeier; sisters, Jamie Zink (Brian), Claflin, KS, and Jill Moore, Ellinwood, Ks. Other survivors include two nephews and three nieces.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16th at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church north of Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, March 15th at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood with the parish Vigil/Rosary at 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.
